How do I get my mouth to not hurt so much? -
April 25th 2011, 03:55 AM
Friday I got 2 teeth pulled and I've had the brackets of my braces on for about a month now. I get the top wire on in a couple weeks, but my mouth hurts so bad. It doesn't hurt where I got teeth pulled, but the teeth around it hurts. What can I do to get the pain to not be so bad?

The pain will probably go away on its own but in the meantime some things you can use to reduce the pain are bonjela (teething gel) and perhaps try ice although if you have sensitive teeth then ice is a bad idea.
You could also try some sort of mouthwash. I'm not sure where you live but there's one called Cordosyl in the UK and that offers some sort of pain relief, I use it when I have mouth ulcers. The active ingredient is chlorhexidene so is you don't have Cordosyl then have a look for a mouthwash with that in.
