Sensitive teeth D: - April 25th 2011, 04:44 PM

I never had this problem until recently >.> It's really starting to irritate me. If I drink/eat something too cold (ice cream for example) my teeth feel really painful :| I ate a bit of cucumber earlier and it felt an electric shock going through my teeth/gums >.>

Why has this started all of a sudden? Is it something to be concerned about? What can I do about it?

If it's just come on it could be disease, it'd be best to make an appointment with your dentist.
I've had sensitive teeth for ages though, I used to use the arm and hammer's sensitive tooth paste which I found helped.

Gah, I hate the dentist >.> I haven't actually been for a while so it probably would be a good idea to go

I used to use arm and hammer toothpaste actually. I just stopped using it and went back to Colgate.

Do you use the colgate sensitive toothpaste? I have sensitive teeth as well and, although I find Sensodyne works better, the colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste also works.

Try to find toothpastes for sensitive teeth. I also have sensitive teeth and I use this special kind of toothpaste, it gets rid of the pain completely.

Knowledge is half the battle.

I too hate the dentist ... but maybe visiting him might be a good idea.

Look in supermarkets for toothpastes for sensitive teeth, you have to find the one which works best for you

Definitely get some sensitive teeth toothpaste. And talk to your doctor or dentist about it.

Have you started using teeth whitening strips? Those tend to really make your teeth sensitive.

I bought sensitive toothpaste earlier from ASDA Colgate to be exact I have been using Pearl Drops Whitening Tooth Polish lately (as well as normal toothpaste), that could be why.

Does the pack say it can cause sensitive teeth?
