I'm sorry darling, it sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. I don't know too much about Crohn's disease, but I believe that stool incontinence may be a symptom. You should relax as best as you can and take things easy. Have you made an appointment to see your GI?
I have experienced similar problems for a short while, although I haven't gotten a diagnosis yet. There are products out there such as pads and pantyliners that you can use as a precaution. I'm not sure if it applies to you, but do you notice your symptoms at a specific time in the day? If you know when you need to use the restroom you can make time so it won't catch you completely off guard. I'm sorry this isn't too helpful! Perhaps someone else knows more about the subject and can contribute? |

I would definitely see your GI as soon as you can to get the flare under control. I always had similar symptoms when having flare-ups. I would always have the stomach pains and be near close to losing control of well you know. Stress definitely always made flares worse and more frequent.
While most things won't help when it comes to controlling the bowel movements, you can take hot baths or use a heating pad to help with the stomach pains. I would not recommend taking ibuprofen or any other blood thinners of any kind because of the bleeding that happens with Crohn's. What you eat can also play a big role. Most things that make symptoms worse are usually dairy, fried foods, veggies, popcorn, spicy foods, etc. I'd try to limit these until finals are through and you can get to your GI. |

I hear ya. I had at least 5 colonoscopies and 2 endoscopies within 2 years..they are not fun at all. Adding to the long list of meds is never fun either. I had to have a pill box to keep it all straight.
