Headache/Migraine Relief -

I have a pretty simple question. My stepbrother has severe migraines every few months and they usually last a couple of days. With these migrains usually he has sensitivity to light and sound, fatigue, and an upset stomach. Tylenol, alieve, excedrine, and other medicines of the type never seem to work for him. Is it ok if he takes Midol or another PMS relieving medicine to help relieve his migraines? Would it take away his other symptoms, too? Are there any hormones in PMS relieving medicines?

I'm pretty sure that he can take them, but if Excedrine isn't helping, it sounds like he might need to go to the doctor and get a prescription-strength migraine medicine.
