Eye irritation is common with allergies/hay fever (I get precisely what you're describing with your eye every single spring, including this one) and sometimes occurs with colds and the flu. Your other symptoms point toward a cold, and they can last for quite a long time. You could also have pink eye, which is annoying but, for the most part, harmless.
As long as you don't continually grow worse over a short period of time, it doesn't sound like you need any immediate medical attention so don't be too worried. ![]() However, I'm no doctor, and I'm not qualified to diagnose you with anything, so if you feel bad enough, please seek medical attention. ![]() I've never been afraid of the highest heights or afraid of flying high. I've never been afraid of the wildest fights, not afraid of dying. I guarantee you'll miss me, 'cause you changed the way you kiss me. |

I'm going to say that hayfever is the most likely cause. I get eye irritation and a bad throat when it's around this time of year.
The best thing to do would be to have a look for some hayfever medication in the supermarket and see if that helps. If it doesn't than I'd say go to the doctor and see what they think is the problem. Take care
