Girls: Little help please? - March 12th 2009, 04:50 PM

So i'm probably panicking over nothing. I missed my february period, but took a pregnancy test and it was negative, so must have just been stress. Now..i'm on the pill, and it usually works fine for me, but i'm mid cycle, and last night i got pretty bad tummy pain, this morning i had a very light bleeding. Now i've been taking the pill regularly so this seems odd to me. Then the tummy ache's been so bad today, and i dont usually get much pain. I came back from college, and lay down, I kinda felt a really really sharp pain, and i found a blood clot. Not massive, but big enough to panick me. I've only had a clot once before, when i first went on the pill, and it was totally different. That was just like dried blood. This time it felt harder and rubbery.

Anyway. Sorry for all the detail, that no one wants to know. But to be honest i'm really nervous. Any suggestions?

I would probably put in a call to your doctor or ob-gyn/health department/school nurse. Just let them know what's going on, possibly come in for an appointment. Take some deep breaths and try to calm down though. Stress and anxiety isn't going to help the stomach pain at all.

If they continue or get worse, consider the ER. Just to be safe.

I'd talk to your doctor. Blood clots aren't good, no matter how small or how few. Meet with your doctor when you can and if they get worse before you can, go to the ER like suggested.
