Headaches - August 26th 2011, 05:58 PM

For the past two years I've woken up with a headache, everyday. I also have vertigo. Sometimes... it's unbearable. Other times, it is. They haven't given me any medication to take so I'm not sure what to do

I was diagnosed with "swollen optic nerves" - with no apparent cause.

Could that be related?

I know you can't diagnose me. It's just really frustrating and I wanted to know if anyone else has headaches/symptoms of vertigo constantly.

PS. For those of you who don't know, here's what vertigo is:

Hm, well, while I have headaches pretty consistently, mine are typically from stress and being in front of a computer screen too much :P

Do you have headaches no matter what time you wake up? I would try taking some Tyenol an hour or two before you wake up in hopes of the headache being prevented. Also, have you considered the vertigo and headache for that matter being associated with not having enough sugar and are dehydrated? I get headaches when dehydrated and vertigo when I haven't had much sugar in a while (I'm not diabetic).

Can you supply some more details, such as if you go to bed hungry, thirsty, go to bed at around the same time, wake up at around the same time, etc.?

Sure.

I don't go to bed hungry and I sleep with a bottle of water nearby. I always drink water. No matter what time of the day, so I don't think it's from dehydration.

I go to bed at around 11/12 every night and wake up around 8 in the morning. So, it's usually the same routine every night.

Hmm, then it looks as if my possible causes are wiped off.

Are you getting treated for the swollen optic nerve? Headaches are a symptom of it, though not vertigo. It would be best if you went to your doctor about the issue, and hopefully they can figure something out.

I've been going to doctors for almost 2 years now They can't figure anything out. So until I get a "new symptom" I have to live with this.

I got really bad headaches from my eyesight problems. Once I got glasses it helped, but I wasn't eating enough ( so that was the main reason )
You might want to go to your DR. (:
I hope you feel better!

Allow yourself to develop in all aspects of life- cut out from toxic people and realize it's for the best. Love yourself endlessly, and even if you don't love yourself right now, fake it until you do.

I've been to my doctors for 2 years straight. Almost every 2-3 months. No diagnosis. And I've had glasses since I was 4 years old so that isn't it. Thank you
