Unhappy Back Pain - August 28th 2011, 06:11 AM

I've had back pains on and off since I was about 10. Now, they just seem to be getting worse. Earlier today, I was standing next to my bed and all of a sudden there was a pinch in my lower back and it hurt so bad that I fell down and couldn't get back up. My parents know about my back pains, but they've never seemed to take them very seriously and they wont take me to a doctor or something to get it checked out.

Any thoughts?

Hello friend!

I definitely know what you're dealing with. I've had the same pains since I was about 15. I'm 17 now. The other night, it got so bad that I couldn't lay in my bed. It's terrible.

I know there are some back medications that you can take. Heating pads help a lot too, if you have one. Try to stretch as often as you can, even if it hurts. Don't push yourself too hard, but it will definitely help loosen your back muscles. Yoga helps A TON. You don't have to do anything fancy. Even the basic poses will work wonders if you stick with it.

If you find anything that works for you, VM me and let me know. (: I'm always open to new techniques too. Good luck!!

Re: Back Pain - August 30th 2011, 05:29 PM

I used to have that problem all the time, sometimes my legs would go numb and give out from it.Besides baths and ice packs I found going to a chiropractor is a god send.At first my treatments were every month for six months, then every other month, then every six months and now I go whenever the problem re occures. For a while I was only going once every year and a half, now that I'm lifting my twenty something pound son everywhere I'm going every few months again though

You wonder why I never smile anymore, but with broken homes come broken smiles.

Has the acidic rain burned a hole so deep, that we don't care what's beneath our feet?

I'm a freak and my best friend is a pirate-ninja-dinosaur,what a unique friendship!

My heart is so numb, that I can't feel it breaking
