Constant Tiredness - March 17th 2009, 08:54 PM

Ughh~ It is really bothering me now.
I get atleast 8-9 hours of sleep everynight and I am still tired all day. Its making me less concentrated at school and I don't want to miss anything, I have been eating a bit less but I dont think that has anything to do with it.. I dont know what is wrong, what should I do?

do you have any other symptoms, such as headaches/stomach pains/fatigueness/feeling faint?

you really should go check with a doctor however - there are many medical possibilities to which why you're feeling so tired. low blood sugar, not getting enough food, disorders... there's a lot out there. you may have sleep apnea, or a chronic fatigue syndrome... who knows? either way, i highly recommend you go visit a doctor. i hope all goes well <33

Alise is right!
You need to check with a doctor to make sure everything is okay with you. You may have anything from anemia to low blood pressure; either way these are treatable so you may want to book an appointment right away.

You should be aiming to get your set meals a day: breakfast/lunch/dinner and snacks in between and your recommended xxxx calories a day which i am sure you are aware of; as it's on the back of most packets of food - so as to keep your body functioning correctly. Also drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated as you may be feeling the effects of dehydration.

Also do a quick spurt of activity, like a brisk walk, jumping jacks, etc. It sounds like it would make you more tired, but it actually wakes you up.

See your doctor and ask to have full blood work done, it will be the best way to make sure all your levels are where they should be. Like what has already been said it could be anything; anemia, b12 or iron deficency etc.

Tiredness can be caused by a lot of things, including stress and health problems. Get to your doctor if it's becoming an issue for you. I agree with Stacey, get full blood work done and see where you go from there.

Until then, make sure you're eating a healthy diet. Also, one of the worst things you can do is over-sleep, that'll just make matters worse.
