30 minute cold sore? - March 17th 2009, 10:15 PM

After I finished eating my breakfast this morning, I discovered a bump on top of my top lip. It was hurting, sort of burning. My friend thought it was a cold sore. Within about half an hour it was gone. Should I be concerned? Does anyone know what this could have been? please and thank you.

To be honest with you i have no idea what this could be. It may just be a simple cold sore that got sparked off by your eating? But really, it sounds unlikely to be a cold sore, since they don't usually just disappear. If it doesn't come back i'd say just forget about it, if it does then maybe see a pharmacist and see what he/she suggests?

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

what did you exactly eat? there are some foods that cause reactions if you have a slight allergy, or if you've eaten too much salt that can be the case. either way, i wouldn't worry about it, but i would recommend getting your allergies tested. ^^
