I've only had one surgery in my life. I was 5, so around 1995-96 or so, and I had my tonsils removed. I'll always remember me telling my mom I needed to do have ice cream all the time after the surgery. :P She never lets me live it down

I think this is fine here, but if anyone disagrees, feel free to PM me about it
![]() I've had two 'surgeries'. One was a tonsillectomy when I was 16 in 2006 during Spring Break ![]() The other was a colonoscopy which they call it a surgery but they just stick a camera up your ....butt. *awkward*

When I was like 10 I technically had surgery because I was put under to remove teeth that were coming in under adult teeth. And in November of 2006 I had a tymphanoyplasty (I think that's how you spell it) to fix a hole in my ear drum.

3 major abdominal surgeries, 10 total if you count colonoscopies & endoscopies like above. Gotta love Crohn's/Ulcerative Colitis!
![]() 1- colectomy (entire large intestine removed) with ileostomy. 4 hrs. 2- IPAA & new ileostomy spot. 8+ hrs. 3- emergency surgery to remove the IPAA & about 2 feet of small intestine + a new ileostomy spot. 5 hrs. I've got some awesome battle scars from all that though. hah

I've had 4 wisdom teeth extracted last year, although that's not such a drastic surgery.
In 1996-1997, I had excessive crowding of my baby teeth to the point where it was incredibly painful and the gums were swollen before the surgery. I had it done on both sides of my mouth, although the right side was a bit worse and each side had to get stitched up. In 2000, I had to get my gums stitched yet again. At the time I was wearing braces and the wires were broken but only a bit lose, I was going to see the orthodontist that day after school. I was at gym class playing basketball and the ball got me right in the mouth. It hurt like hell because the wires tore through my gums all on the front upper jaw (only had braces from canine to canine teeth). It was worst at the 2 front big teeth because the wires couldn't easily come out and you could see the wire weaving through the gums. Wasn't pretty :/ I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

3 in the last year, and it's been my only ones.
1. Removal of brain tumor and implantation of an implant to aid my hearing on my brainstem (19 hours) 2. Correction of a post-surjery complication CSF leak (i'm not sure what they did, fixed a hole in my skull from brain op I think) and blocked my ear cannel to stop further CSF leaks (6 hours) 3. Correction of a spontanios CSF leak (they didn't know there was another site which would start leaking)Not sure how long this was I was on HDU after and a little out of it :/xx EDIT: 3 others... but they were under local anestethic (I was awake but numbed) to have a Lumbar puncture and Lumbar drain to remove CSF and help me heal

Wow, some of you have been through some pretty serious ops.
![]() I had my tonsils removed in March of this year. Overall it wasn't too horrible, however, when the pain was at its peak, I was in tears from it (thankfully this level of pain only lasted one night).

I had surgery on both eyes in '05 to correct muscle issues. I forget what it's called, but they cut the muscle because it's too tight and it was pulling my eyes outward and it looks weird and then I had my wisdom teeth out, but I forget when because I had a lot of orthadontia and my orthodontist said that if my wisdome teeth came in they were going to undo everything he had done.
