Tired, sooo tired... - October 15th 2011, 02:17 PM

Half the time I feel Zombiefied... I went to the hospital about a month ago, and they took some blood tests to see if I'm anaemic. My granny and aunt are anaemic. I got a letter from my GP saying I am, slightly, anaemic. The GP want to talk about my diet, cuz it can be caused by lack of iron, but I eat a balanced diet, so I'm not sure it's that... I don't know what the treatment will be if it's not cuz of my eating. I need to get it sorted cuz I get upset over the stupidest things. This is me most of the time:

If you are tired because of your lack of iron, which can happen even if you have a balanced diet, you might have to take iron supplements to help you get that extra amount of iron you need a day. Some people require more iron than others do, there are general guidelines as to how much of something you should have, but some people can require more or less than the recommended amount to function properly.
If it isn't because of the iron then your GP will have to do more tests to figure out the cause.

As the above user stated, iron levels differ from person to person. Some people could do everything recommended and still not have enough iron.

Anemia could be caused by several things. Such as B12 deficiency, folate deficiency, and several other causes.
Iron is most common though.

So if it isn't due to iron they will be testing for these other conditions. It may take a lot of testing but eventually they will find out what's going on

So you have gray hair and you're only 26
