Make sure to get lots of fluids and drinking some Orange Juice or taking a Vitamin C supplement can help your body fight it off better. Be sure to drink LOTS of water. Double your intake at least. Water actually helps your body function better and will help it be stronger in fighting off the infection.

Otherwise, the only other thing is to fight off the SYMPTOMS of a cold. So, cough drops, cold meds (non-drowsy unless at night to help you sleep), etc.

Best of luck!!!

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

1. Freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice mixed together, with no additional sugar
2. Regular flu meds
3. If it is already quite severe, get extra rest
4. If it is still only developing, try doing some light exercise
5. Extra vitamin C
6. Dress warm
7. Warm drinks, hot chocolate/tea is pretty good
8. Ceffeinated drinks, such as coffee
9. Eat well... your body needs energy to deal with illness
10. What works for some, is small doses of strong alcohol, such as spirits, perhaps mixed with something else like tea. Alcohol kills bacteria, and raises your metabolism a bit which is why many people go slightly red when they drink it. Don't overdo it though, because alcohol can also weaken you if you drink too much

10. NO fizzy drinks, they aggrevate a sore throat and mess with your sugar levels too much

If you've got some spare time, read this:

But don't if you're easily triggered. If you're not easily triggered then go ahead.

Most things have been said already, but:
*Sleep! A lot. Under a pile of blankets.
*If you have any physical activity (dancing, swimming, soccer practice, whatnot), cancel it.
*Avoid sugars
*Drink water, fresh orange juice and cranberry juice + herbal teas
*Take vitamin C, vitamin D, calcium and zinc supplements. Zinc and vitamin C are the most important ones.
*If you get a runny nose, "snort" salt water. Sounds weird, but it always works for me.

Cold FX if your local drug store has them. I've gotten rid of colds in 3 days with cold fx

I'm a poet, screaming for attention.
A singer, itching for an audience.
An actor, searching for her stage.
Don't you hear me?
Screaming for the one missing all the signs.
Why must I work so hard?!
To show you I'm dying inside?
