Ok so i was sick yesturday at about 12pm, i didnt eat anything at all yesturday and didnt drink much as it made me feel sick, i hyavent been sick since.

I woke up today feeling fine but had to take the day off college due to light headedness, everytime i get up from laying down i feel like im going to faint, Is this due to not eating? if i drink alot at once i get a weird feeling in my stomach, it bounces between wanting to be sick and being fine, My legs and arms feel like jelly and i struggle with balance, I dont want to eat or drink cus i hate being sick, What do i do? do i eat? ive been drinking a little, If i should eat, what should i eat/drink? I really want to be ok, Please help

Yes, of course eat and drink. Your body is responding to not having any food for an entire day. Just take down some soup and crackers or yogurt/icecream. It's important that you stay hydrated so drink water.

it would be adviseable to eat, though if you are really worried and afraid of being sick try drinking gatoraid as well as water,or possibly a meal replacement.

I think it would be best if you tried keeping down some plain bread or crackers.

Ye i had a bannana, Definatley felt the effects about 15 minutes after, I had some diluted orange, using only a small amount of orange juice, I feel so much better after havuing just 1 bannana, no sickness, i feel better, im going to eat a little bit more in about half an hour.

Now i can see my body was asking for food, not the sickness.

Is gatoraid an american drink?
I take it things like powerade would be jsut as good?

Gatorade simply replenishes electrolytes (sodium, potassium, etc). Powerade is similar, yes.

I replied to your more recent post concerning you making a visit to your doctor.

I sometimes get dizzy when going from sitting to standing, or taking a hot shower. Not sure what causes it

Hey Robin,

I am glad to hear you are feeling better. Next time you are afraid to eat for fear of getting sick you can try and stick with a bland diet. Not eating at all could actually make you feel worse. A good guideline diet is called the BRAT diet (Bananas, rice, apples, toast). Also, light things like soup, crackers, and jello would be smart choices. I hope you can get to the bottom of what is causing your upset stomach soon. Take care.

Lots of love <3
