I get atypical migraines and im not sure what triggers them. They occur at random times, so its hard for me to say it has to do with my cycle. I'm in the process of finding other possible triggers for them. My atypical migraines manifest themselves like a stroke, with numbness and/or temporary paralysis on one side of my body.
I'm told to take Excedrin Migraine pills for my migraines and those help, but I would like to know what anyone out there who gets atypical migraines does to help when you dont have medicine on your person (which happens to me more often than i'd like). I know the dark, cool room basics and all that, but everyone seems to have an extra thing they do that helps them. Sticks and stones will break my bones but words give the final blows Sometimes... enjoying life's roses means enduring the thorns, silence says more than sound, pain is just a way of making sure you were alright, and other times its better being lost than found. |

Re: help with atypical Migraines -

Some people say the vitamin B12 has helped their headaches (you should ask your doctor before taking). You can buy in any store with a pharmacy.
Tea and honey work for me. I usually do a tea bag and two tablespoons of honey (I love my stuff sweet...) though if you can cut back on sugar, that could help too.Another thing might be to put a ice or heat compression on the back of your neck. Also, sometimes a drink with caffeine in it might help - coffee, soda, caffeinated tea, etc. Although, it could also be a trigger, so be careful. Hope this gives you some ideas Sorry you have migraines. I've had them since I was little, also with atypical. So hang in there!
So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
