Question Back pain! - March 5th 2012, 08:40 PM

I have some major back pain. It feels like someone is squeezing the crap out of my spine towards my upper back. It just hurts all the way up the base of my head and sometimes it gives me a headache. I sometimes have lower back pain too. My posture doesn't really help it either. What should I do? Can't go to a doctor because I don't have one and I'm no longer on my parents' insurance.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Try a chiropractor, or a heating pad of some sort. A massage could defiantly help.

Are you always sad? Someone asked.
(Always is such a long, long time)
I couldn't say. But
If sadness was a sea, I'd drown in it.
(Salty and warm, sadness is.)
(Cold, too. Sometimes)
And I happen to love the sea.

And I watched your words burn tiny holes
into my retinas. Just wide enough to crawl into,
And forget you ever were.

I have back issues as well. Taking warm baths (as warm as you can stand) and/or using a heating pad for at least 15 minutes a day, even multiple times a day, is wonderful. If you can't do that, then using a shower chair, sit in it and shower for 15 minutes as often as you can.

Taking ibuprofen/motrin/advil will help reduce any inflammation you may have.

Definitely fix your posture. If you are having trouble doing this on your own, there are some over the ounter back braces (usually $20) that you can buy to help. Don't think it will do all the work, though.

Other than that, I would suggest to not put a lot of strain on it.
