Pusey Lip - March 31st 2009, 12:43 PM

In the last week I have woken up with two over large pusey spots by my nose. One went by itself and the other my mom done with a needle (She put it in hot water for 10 mins before). But today I woke up with a fat lip... It hurts to talk or eat and its just affecting one side of the bottom lip. It thobs every now and then. I didnt have a cut on my lip and there wasnt any sign of this coming up the day before. It was completely out the blood. There does seem to be some puse under the skins surface...

Does anyone know what this maybe? It cant be a coldsore (Ive never suffered from them and I havent kissed someone with one) And how it got there?

Hey,

Sorry to hear about your lip. This really doesn't sound pleasant. Puss is a sign of infection along with redness and swelling. I would clean your lip with some hydrogen peroxide (be careful not so swallow any just dap some on a q-tip and clean the area) or another antiseptic. You should make an appointment to see a doctor because if it is an infection it could require antibiotics. I hope you feel better soon.

Lots of love <3

It could be infected, but whatever has caused the symptoms you're having needs to be looked at by a physician and treated so it doesn't get any worse. Try to keep the area clean as much as possible.

It probably wouldn't make any difference, but until you know what the issue is, I'd try to avoid it. Just to be safe.

try sudocrem if its not right on the lip, or else maybe try some anti-bac coldsore or ulcer thing (like bonjela or anbesol)

Thats what i'd do!
