Question Losing Weight?? - April 5th 2012, 05:19 AM

i want to lose enough weight to look like a size [EDIT]

what workouts should i do ?
how many calories should i aim to burn ?
how many should i limit to consume a day ?

We don't post nor reference size numbers or calorie counts on teenhelp. However, I will say that trying to lose so many sizes can be very dangerous, especially if you are trying to do it in a short amount of time.

It's also important to note that weight is only one factor in determining what size one wears. Clothes (for women) depend more on proportion of the bust, the hip, and height, not necessarily girth.

It is important to intake a certain number of calories per day in order to keep your body running correctly. More importantly, eat right. So much of losing weight isn't the calories, nor the exercise, but what you eat.

Hey Janine,

If you are feeling bad about your body, I would recommend talking to your doctor about what weight/caloric intake is right for you. We cannot tell you what is right, we are not doctors, and these numbers are triggering to people with eating disorders, so we couldn't give them to you anyway. But honestly, it is unneccessary, because we couldn't give you a correct number anyway, considering we don't know your particular body. I would recommend checking out our Guide to Healthy Eating for an overall guide to how you should eat. I'm also going to give you this link from a Youtuber I like about the way we view our bodies and the way we view weight loss. It gives a different perspective from the typical "weight goals" and all of that to a social idea of why we want to lose weight and it's a great way to get a new perspective of why you feel the way you feel.
