How long have you been sober?

this thread existed a while ago and i believe it was very important for me and other users to have this and while i am currently not in active recovery, i do have a substance abuse helper and i am trying a lot to get my life back on track so i think this thread would help a lot of people and also myself.

so i am 5 days clean off of benzodiazepines and sadly 0 days off of opioids.

It's been 14 days since I last got drunk AND since the last time I smoked a cigarette.

It has been eight days since I got drunk and six months since I've smoked pot. Not counting vapors.

Its been 3 years and 5 months and a couple weeks since I last took a opioid.

i am one day clean off of opioids today and 6 off of benzos.

it's sad but i relapsed.. to be honest it didn't take long for me..

so 0 days for opioids and nearly one day for benzodiazepines.

So sorry you're going through this hell Eden. I used to get pissed that people didn't understand what it's like, but lately I've learned to be grateful that they don't...I just registered with teenhelp today, but I'm In my 2nd year of the recovery experience from opioids and benzos, but I use marijuana to manage seizures and PTSD. So depending on who you ask, either a little over two years or less than one hour. Stay strong Eden. If nobody told you that they love you today, I got you.

thank you a lot for your input. i also got your PM and i am glad people like you exist. i've had a bad day and found out a friend tried to kill himself last night so i didn't exactly try to stay sober either, but thank you so much for all the support from you, i've been really needing it. :)

so as of today i am 2 days sober off of benzos but sadly 0 days of opioids.

I'm not the type to abuse drugs or drink.

I do drink for the right reasons.

Yesterday I drank for the wrong reasons to suppress painful emotions.

I guess one day sober from emotional/situational alcohol.

Last time I drank for emotional/situational reasons was 17 days ago.

I don't count alcohol since I have never had an issue with that.

I do count other things and that has been about 25 days before that it had been close to a year or two.

Been about 4-5 weeks sober from alcohol and about 2 weeks from opioids, and 2 months from weed.

at the moment, I ame 6 months off weed, 1 year off nicotene, and sadly, about 2 hours sober off of alcohol.

From weed it has been 1237 days or 3 years, 4 months and 20 days.
