out of date beer harmful? - January 12th 2009, 08:31 AM

i left a opened half druink an of beer in my room before i went away for about 4 months.,
when i came abck the room stunk weird and i felt light ehaded and sik being there.
now ive removed it and am airing out my room. but it still amkes me feel weird
is it safe for me to be in my room?

Well it's made from fermented yeast, barley, and hops, so letting it sit around open isn't really a good idea smell-wise, but other than that it shouldn't pose any serious dangers to your health. Try washing the fabrics and stuff in your room to get the smell out of them, vacuum the floor and spray some air freshener. I think it's just the smell that's making you lightheaded. And don't leave crap in your room for 4 months!!

Washing things may help.
Also try air fresheners and bacteria killers like Lysol.

Dunno if they have it where you are, but try Fabreeze, that stuff is good for getting smells out of fabrics.
It shouldn't be harmful to your health though and the smell should disappear in time from the air

try opening a window for now maybe and cleaning should definitely help
