the other side of me, drunk me - May 1st 2014, 03:21 AM

Im the good girl you didn't expect to see at a club at 3am, Im the responsible girl you didn't expect to see drunk, the girl you thought would be the last one to make out with a complete stranger. But I did and I damn enjoyed it.

I know it is normal for teens like me to like being drunk, but to me being drunk is a way out of the messed up life I lead, a way out of the facade everyone seems to believe. I enjoy being drunk because drunk me somehow attracts guys to give me something I crave, affection. Now, I know it isn't exactly true or real but to be appreciated for a little while sure is much better than to be completely ignored.

I don't really know why Im writing this, what I expect to get out of it, all I know is I can't wait for friday night.

I think you wrote that because you know you shouldn't be using alcohol as a way out.
It's fine to drink and have fun as long as you are safe and responsible about it. Kissing a stranger is fine in my book. But remember that you are getting attention, not affection. Guys can't get to know you if you are drunk all the time, so that prevents any flings you have from having the opportunity to eventually develop into affection.
I think you should try and spend more time with girl friends. Having platonic friendships can help you feel less alone and less sad because they can be there for support. They can also make you feel appreciated. And you won't have to be drunk to get attention.
As for drinking, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. Alcohol shouldn't be used as a substitute. Sure, it helps you forget for awhile, but once you sober up all of your problems and troubles will still be there. It's important to try and be sober more and find a way to cope and handle your problems.

And here you are living, despite it all.
