All you can do is tell the truth. If people accuse you of something and you deny it, then they need to be able to back up their statement with evidence. Otherwise it is just their word against yours.

If you have said that you do not vape and there is no evidence that you do (i.e. you don't carry a vaporiser and have never been seen vaping either in person or on CCTV), then that should be enough.

I think that the principal will be trying to figure out why the stories don't match up, i.e. who has lied and what the truth is. Therefore I would advise you to speak to him or her in private and explain why you lied in the first place. Only you know the reason, but I'm guessing it had something to do with wanting to back up your view on the ethics of vaporising? Or maybe you were trying to either shock or impress your friends, or appear fashionable? Whatever the reason, you need to tell the principal that you understand that lying was a bad decision and that you have learned your lesson. Hopefully if you appear honest and remorseful you will be let off.

Be kind to yourself.

I have since read (and replied to) your most recent thread which states:

This indicates that you lied for one of those reasons and I think you should therefore tell the principal that instead.

However, it might not be a good idea to admit the full scale of your lying problem to him or her as I think that should be addressed as a separate issue.

Be kind to yourself.
