Exclamation Xanax - January 13th 2009, 11:47 PM

Does anyone else here have a problem with Xanax? I just can't help it. I love them they make me feel like superman and I forget all my problems. But everytime I take them my family finds out because I get a little crazy and want to call everyone. I haven't taken them in over 2 months though so I think I am doing OK in that department...

I've never personally taken this, but from what I know about it seems dangerous to take unless prescribed for it.

Good job on the 2 months
Keep it up n_n

I have taken it before but only because I had a prescription. I must say I did like the relaxed blissful state it allowed me achieve. Congratz on the two months of sobriety. If you ever need someone to talk to about it I am here for you!

you just gotta try again, aim to go longer than 2 months. if you mess up, that's okay, you just gotta try again and do your best to stay sober.

Xanax is very addictive, and if you've been taking it for a long while, it could take a bit to get off of it. Just be patient with yourself and find a way to distract yourself from it.

People have seizures trying to come off of xanax, let alone strokes.

Xanax is HIGHLY addicting, but very popular...especially among hihg school kids. People can usually tell when youre on it because you act slower than usual, but you think you are at normal speed.

Re: Xanax - February 2nd 2009, 10:34 PM

I take it from time to time because it makes me feel like a "normal" person. In all honesty, I should have a prescription for anti-depressants but... life is complicated, so I don't. I've been doing pretty well with staying away from them lately.

Try to replace it with something safe. Healthy amounts of exercise especially!

you do act slower on it because it does decrease your heart rate.
