You need to try and slowly cut back, when you feel you need to have a drink then try and drink something more healthier like water. Maybe try and think of something that you could save up for so you can use that as a motivation to stop you spending your money on fizzy drinks also?

Why dont you try sugar free or caffiene free drinks to start with, then start to gradually come of them, for example instead of 2 cans, buy 1.

Its just about disciplining yourself, you are in control, not the foods or drinks or caffiene, just because you drink a sugar caffiene free drink, doesnt mean you automatically have to eat sugary foods or drink coffee.

Have you tried fizzy water, like mineral water? It's got the fizzy, but it's good for you.

They also have fruit flavored fizzy water. Like it's water, it's fizzy, and it's got a little bit of sweetened flavor in it?

you are probably addicted to caffiene which is probably why you get withdrawal symptoms... you should cut down slowly to help the withdrawal symptoms.
You are just going to have to resist the taste. That's going to be just because you like the taste. It's like someone compulsively eating cake. Whats your diet like, after reading one of you posts on sugar? |

Tapering off the caffeine slowly is better than quiting cold turkey. Try to find a drink with less caffeine in it and do that for a week. Then try just a pop. Then try half a pop, and so on and so fourth.

One place you could start, is stop drinking energy drinks, they have unhealthily high levels of caffiene. Try stick with just the coke for a week.

If you're addicted to cafeine you could always start to drink the decaf coke and slowly cut down the amount you drink of that. After you could possibly moved onto the fruit flavoured water...???
