Re: Prozac -
October 9th 2009, 01:48 AM
I cant tell you what to expect because for everyone its different.
I was on prozac for depression. At first, I took it regularly like I was supposed to. Then I started taking it when I wanted to. Not every day or sometimes not for a few weeks. For me, it took about a month or so to start seeing changes, as expect and common for most meds. The med is used to balance chemical levels in your brain so it takes a while to feel like it works. But not long after I felt a change. It made me calmer and in better moods. It didnt make me sick or feel sick. I dont remember how long I was on it, but it worked. I eventually took myself off it because I wanted to prove I could change myself. And I did. I dont recomend you do that. Some days got pretty bad. Stay on it regular and listen to the doctor. If it makes you feel so or a negative mood change, tell the doctor as soon as possible. But from my experience, it helped. And I would hope to expect it to work for you. I hope this helped. Let me know how things go. |
