Quotes? - January 11th 2010, 09:00 PM

I have a project to do for school on a support group for addicts of drugs and alcohol. It asks for quotes about this addiction. I'd rather get quotes from people who have actually gone through this experience. Would anyone mind sharing a quote? For example: Why you started, what are the negative impacts on your life from it ect ect.

Thank you in advance and sorry if this is inappropriate or anything. If anyone is offended in any way please tell me I'll take this down immediately. I realize people may want to keep the forums for advice only

I am the co pilot of an addiction, meaning I am not the addict, but someone close to me was. My Boyfriend of 2 years (8 total of being friends) started because he was depressed, he continued because nothing else mattered enough. He is currently in rehab because he lost me, his family, his job, his car, and his sanity. He doesnt want to lose anything else.
