so 2 years ago , my friends boyfriend killed himself . right after that , she started smoking marijuana everyday for a couple months and then stopped . but since than she has used MDMA and acid . she actually started to get better the last couple of months but just in the last 2 weeks , two more people she knew committed suicide . and a couple of days ago she did coke for the first time.

she has lost so many friends due to her drug issues and myself and some other of her friends have told her that there are other ways to cope with her issues . i tried to just be there for her when she was doing MDMA and acid , but now i think she really needs help but i dont know what i can do for her.

please give me some advice on how to help her . thanks so much .

I'm so sorry

My best friend got reallllly big into drugs and I was so scared that he was going to end up getting himself killed. I really wish I had some advice for you, but all I can do is tell you that you're not alone

Don't do what other people did

they dont' seem to realize that when someone is using drugs to cope, that leaving them alone is just going to make it work.



my advice from someone whos been in the position your friends in (well, not friends passing away, but drug use to cope)

the best thing you can do is spend as much time as you can with said person, don't give them time to do yao and shit, show her that friends are a better way to cope than getting lost in your in mind, show her that reality can be fun, not just when your out of it.


what im saying is, don't force her to stop drugs, it won't work, instead, replace the drugs with your friendship, and hopefully she'll realize thats whats important.
