Why not try giving up with your son? It'll give you an incentive to not smoke and hopefully help your child in the same way, and it's a lot harder to get someone to stop doing something when you do it yourself so it'll help in this manner as well.
Aside from the fact that you want to stop smoking, could you perhaps stop giving him money so he can't buy any? Or tell the school and see if they can offer your child any help to stop smoking? Don't be really hard on him though, if you are it can end up having a negative effect and just making him more likely to smoke.
