ok this post is in relation to a post i made in rape and abuse but this part of it isnt appropiate in that forumn, on wednesday 30th march i was drinking and smoking marijuana i also took bendoazapine and valium, the issue is that from thursday 31st march 11pm to wednesday 6th april 10am i have no memory and after that its still very blurred, crystal meth was found in my blood on the wednesday i never ever knowingly took crystal meth.....

im going to the police about someone who supplied me with these things who raped me last week....

but my question and wondering is for me to forget 8 days of my life would i have had been drugged daily or could one hit of crystal meth and bendoazapine and valium on the thursday cause that much of a memory loss

Yes it is possible for either circumstance to have happened. These substances can cause severe damage.

The problem is the meth. It's a very very nasty drug, causes memory loss a lot quicker and damage to memory and general physiology a lot quicker. With meth, memory loss is as a withdrawl symptom. Since its half-life is about 9-12 hours, it could lead to forgetting of most of one day's events. The alcohol and benzodiazapine also could lead to several hours forgotten but again, is from a withdrawl symptom. Valium has a half-life of 20-100 hours. The problem with mixing alcohol, valium and benzodiazapine is they enhance their overall effects since they affect the same general neurochemical system. It could lead to several days forgotten, then add on the meth, it could lead to several days forgotten.

The big problem though is you don't remember taking meth at all, so it's possible you took it/received it more than once. The fact it was detected meant at least one of the times it was given was at least 24 hours before it was detected in your blood. It opens up the possibilities as to what else you may have received because you don't recall taking meth. You could have received more alcohol than you recall taking, more valium, etc... .

However, assuming it was just one administration of meth, along with the alcohol, valium and benzodiazapine, that all could account for several days of memory lost. Marijuana would play an indirect role because memory loss tends to happen from long-term usage. Instead, it would degrade the quality of the memory but not lead to completely forgetting it. It may also play an indirect role by causing vasoconstriction, which would happen from the meth also, so even less oxygen reaches the brain, which would affect your memory.

I'm not saying you did, my impression is that most likely someone forcibly did it to you or that you unwittingly did while you were under the influence of the other substances.

I forget to mention in my previous response because I wasn't thinking properly. Depending on the route of administration and dosage, drugs will last longer or shorter durations in your system. For the drugs you mentioned that you knowingly took, I assume it was all orally. What was the amounts you took because varying on the amounts, the loss of memory could be possible for a longer time.

When you got your blood tested, was it only crystal meth that was detected? Valium has a long half-life of up to 200 hours (although usually is between 36-100). Also, were you told of the amount of meth in your system?

no but im hoping to find out all tommorrow and i took 50mg of vallium and one tablet xanax

The combination of the drugs and alcohol that you knowingly took is a nasty coctail and very like could have been the cause of the memory lapse. Have you been able to talk to anyone who you may have interacted with in that time to perhaps spark a memory or something? Hopefully all is well.

well i spoke to an aquaintance because had no memory of the 31st for a long time untill a friend reminded me that was the night she went to hospital, because on the 30th my friend took me to this guys place for a drink up i took 2 valium and 1 xanax early hours of the morning the 31st, i made it to my chyms appt at 2pm on the 31st although i dont remember that my counsellor told me i showed up, i remember coming back to go back to the guys house and getting lost so i rang my aquaintence to come pick me up, i do not know if i actually remember that or just know it happened because i was told, that night my aquaintence tongue swelled up and ambulance was called, she went to hospital that was between 8pm-12am on the 31st, during that time and the morning of the 6th me and my aquaintence argued i do not remember this and was informed by her on the 8th that we were arguing, on the 6th i woke up went to the department of communities and was told i was going back into care i went to my unit to pack up some things and came very distressed about loosing my unit, which is during that time and the afternoon i attempted suicide the night of the 6th they took my blood and crystal meth was found in my system
