SO Fucking Close To Relapsing! -

I've been sober from alcohol and cough syrup for 90 days and Idk why but I saw the medicine section of the store that I was at and suddenly got a STRONG craving for it!
 I had to practically DRAG myself out of the store to stop myself from grabbing it  I NEED HELP!!!
Everthing I see seems to be a lie. And everything you see in me you think is the truth. But, really all you see is what I'm masking the real me with. You never see me cry. Because I'll never let you. And you'll never see me die because I feel like I already have in a way.

Hey Brooke,
90 days! Whew. Congratulations on making it this far! That's really an accomplishment and you should be very proud of it. I'm proud of you! You're right though, you do need help. I don't know if you've seen a counsellor, but if you haven't, consider it. It's very important that you have a real-life support system, and people you can call for backup when you feel this close to relapsing. Remember, you're better than this. You are strong, and you'll make it through this. Your past addiction does not define you, and you don't live by it anymore. You're done with that. seeking a counsellor or even ring a drug and alcohol help line and asking for some methods to cope with cravings, on days when i feel i could be easily triggers i avoid aisles and places that trigger cravings for me

Good job on making it this far! At least you're recognizing that you have to make an effort to stop instead of just giving in to temptation. I definitely recommend seeing a counsellor, but in the mean time try to stay away from temptation and maybe talk to your doctor. It could be that your body is craving sugar or some other nutrient and you just associate it with alcohol or cough syrup. Stay strong and please follow-up with the counselling suggestions.

You have absolutely no idea how strong you are to have walked out of the store. So many other people would have failed. I am so incredibly impressed and I think if you keep suh control over yourself you'll definitely succeed. Its trials like these that test you and the more youre exposed to them the easier it will get. This was the hardest one.
