Question K2/Spice? - May 18th 2011, 03:54 PM

My brother told me we were smoking something legal and it was just a little something- the next day I didn't remember a thing and I had smoked more than I think & drank a six pack. Months later he told me what it was, is Spice worse than pot....& could it be the reason for all of a sudden having more panic attacks?

I doubt it's any worse or even as bad as cannabis, since a legal alternative and everything

These websites have a bunch of information on K2 and Spice that would be worth checking out, but I'll sum it up for you.

As these drugs are newer, no tests have really been able to be conducted. Because there haven't been many tests conducted, no one really knows the long- or short-term effects of these. You're really gambling on things a bit. One of the articles talks about how a very, very small amount of a synthetic THC ended up impairing lung function in lab rats. One of the things with synthetics is that they can stay in your system for a long time since they lock onto receptors in your brain. I'm not saying that it not or is causing your raise in panic attacks, because no one even knows how long synthetics can stay in your system, but honestly I think if it was only smoked once and it was so long ago that it's unlikely. If you were going to be having side effects like having anxiety attacks, I would expect that they would've started sooner instead of months later. I'd try looking at what all is going on in your life and see if you could attribute it to anything, but it is possible it could've been the K2. If you're concerned about it, which I would be whether or not it's because of the drugs, I'd try talking to a mental health professional if you're not already for your anxiety attacks.

I suggest looking through the information the above poster provided you with.

I've never had any personal experience with K2, but it's still as dangerous as pot. My boyfriend's mother tried it this past Thursday, and ended up being rushed to the Emergency Room because her entire body ended up going numb to the point we thought she was having a stroke. The doctor who examined her told her she was better off smoking the real thing.

I suggest you to not do it again, and have your brother stop it too!
