Has anyone been to a Nar-Anon meeting?

Nar-Anon is the NA branch off that is for the family and friends of drug addicts.

After a very dark period which included all kinds of drugs and money pits, my boyfriend's father has been sober for 9 months. My boyfriend says he is handling everything fine, but he's told me that his father started cigarettes again and he's been finding low-alcoholic drinks in the fridge (and throwing them away). He's afraid his father, whose sponsor dropped him because he focuses on work (12 hr days) instead of himself, is going to relapse in a big way. His father says he's too busy or tired to go to NA meetings.


I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to go to a Nar-Anon meeting. He says he is handling everything, but I'm concerned that he's holding his whole family up by himself and he needs support. I think just going to one meeting couldn't hurt, only help. He's agreed to go to one, although he's very skeptical.

Am I overstepping my bounds?
and have any of you been to a Nar-Anon meeting? Or do you know of any group with similar goals that I can look up in my city?
