you can never completely leave an addiction behind, i know people hear this a lot, but until you've experienced it, you don't know what its like, smelling the smell, feeling the metal, inhaling the smoke, feeling the warmth go down your throat....
i have these 'flashbacks' all the time, how do you deal with them? What is love? I lost the meaning long ago.

Flashbacks can come in a variety of ways. I'm not a psychologist, so I can't tell you if this is a flashback or not, but regardless of what it's called, it's a problem.
With everything I've gotten addicted to, no matter how long it's been since I stopped, or even if I haven't stopped, I still crave that. Sometimes, especially with drugs, it's not the actually doing of it, it's the ritual too. Like, for me, laying out lines is almost better than the high I get, and I've talked to many many people who feel the same way. You can't just make them go away. You're going to remember that forever, the feeling, the everything. Over time it will get less and less, and become more and more bearable. But for now, what you have to do, is find ways to distract yourself. Try to push the thoughts and feelings out of your head. Not to ignore them, but to move on with life. Tell those thoughts and so forth that you're over them, and they need to leave you alone. Make a list of the reasons you've quit. And look at it whenever you've got a strong urge to actually do it again. Sometimes we can't see those reasons when we want something so bad. Best of luck.
