I may be starting a problem. -
July 8th 2011, 10:48 PM
I never started drinking fully until I was legal which was a year ago now. I blacked out once or twice before I was actually legal.
Everyday since I turned legal I have drank everyday. Some days I'd drink non stop and others I was soo hungover all I did was sleep all day. I have a job now which means the drinking is more under control but it's still not. I get drunk right after work everyday and when I have the next day off I get blackout drunk. My plan everynight is to blackout drink. I drink alone and since my father has been an alcoholic all my life I really don't find drinking alone to be a problem. It's become a reoccurring habit. I can stop for a day or two so I'm not an alcoholic nor am I a binger. I know I drink more then the one glass a night. My tolerance level is ridiculous as I can drink just as much as my 60 pound more friend. I don't like this life. But at the same time as a cutter may not want to stop I really feel comfortable where I am. Do you think it's a problem? Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine.

Frankly yes, If you are getting drunk every night and hungover a lot of days I believe you are an alcoholic. Just because you can stop for a day or two does not mean you are not an alcoholic. Not to be rude, but when an alcoholic tries to quit and makes it a couple of days does that mean he/she is not an alcoholic? If your father is an alcoholic you were more likely to become one from the start. People who's parents by blood have a drinking problem are more likely to develop one themselves if they start.
If you want I can try to help. |
