Helpp pleasee - July 19th 2012, 07:43 PM

So recently I feel like me and my best friend are growing apart this summer. I feel extremely depressed about this. Back before when we were super close, she used to text me every morning whenever she woke up. Now it's like she doesn't even care about me, and sometimes I think she hates me now. Whenever I try to talk to her about this, she somehow gets super mad if I ask her if she's mad. I don't know how to resolve this, and I was kinda planning on inviting her over to my house to hang out? I kinda think she's acting like this because we haven't seen each other in over a month? I don't know, any advice pleasee?

That happened to me a couple years ago. Is there something distracting her? Have you tried texting her instead and just acting like it's ok. Sometimes my friends get mad if I ask them things like why they are acting strange, so I act like it didn't happen and things start to look up. If she's up for it, you should definitely try to hang out, but maybe take it one step at a time. If you guys go to school together, I'm sure you'll be able to hang out again, sometimes summer blocks friendships for a bit, but usually that are fine when school starts again.

I often see people get so upset about friendships that simply aren't there anymore. Sometimes friendships fade, sometimes people move on (on there own or willingly). Things happen. The point is, is if she no longer is giving your a positive friendship, then its time to move on and cut your losses. We will all lose friends throughout high school, college, and throughout life; but what matters is the friendships that hold strong through the good and the bad. This friendship you have with this girl, is not one of those strong friendships.

Best wishes,

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
