My Dad - April 15th 2009, 05:07 PM

I have never met my dad at all, not once, NEVER. I've not seen pictures, only been told a small bit of information.

I know his name
His last known employment
His Date of birth
Where he lived

My mum has gave me the impression that he simply dissappeared off the planet, he does know he has a kid but he doesn't want to know me.
In my optimistic mind of mine (ha) i want to meet him, even if it is to be told to fuck off.

How would i go about this? I live in the UK btw.

Im pretty much in the same situation as you except I have no intentions of ever meeting him. I would attempt contacting him. Just explain who you are and you just wanted to talk to him..you have a right too. If he rejects the offer, then there isnt much else you can do. Good Luck!

This may sound really stupid, but you could check in a phone book for his name (the UK has phone books right?) See, I sound stupid. :P But yeah, then you might find his name and his phone number. Other than that, maybe you can do some private investigating ;) and ask all your family members if they know any clues that might help you find him. You could also possibly phone his last employment and see if he still works there and see if you can get his number. Or if he doesn't work there anymore, you could still ask for his contact information.

Good luck! x

Only if your on a certain phone company your number will be in the phone book and the only name that was his was a woman lmao.
Noone in my family has ever met him, only my mum, she thinks he was cheating on his wife with her and thats why she never met his friends and he never met hers.

And Data Protection prohibits employers etc. from giving you information, it's all confidential :/

I was maybe thinking the Electoral Roll? But im sorta skint the now haha
