Where do they get that right????? - April 29th 2009, 06:58 AM

I am steaming... I want to know where people who are friends get the right to judge you based on your decisions. Yes I am getting married and yes I have a male friend who I still have feelings for, but where do my other friends get the right to be mad at me because I talk to my other male friend? He knows me better than anyone. I do not understand why my friends sit back and snicker and make rude comments to me because I miss my bud and yeah I have feelings, but we are both with other people who we love. Someone tell me why they feel they can be mad at me and make rude comments, I don't understand and it's only causing fights.

They shouldn't make rude comments. But if you do have feelings for someone else, and you're getting married... You really need to think about that and get over those feelings first.

Unfortunately, people can make these comments, even if you don't like them. It's mean and hurting you, but they are still allowed to express their opinions. I think you need to have a good long talk with your friends and let them know that you think what they are doing is rude. Tell them how it's affecting you, and hopefully they will see sense and stop.

I also agree with what TJ said. I know that you are getting married and that you love the man you are getting married to, but think over whether or not your feelings for your friend will affect your relationship with your husband.

The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way.
