Erm. well just some help would be great - June 2nd 2009, 09:52 PM

So I've recently got chatting to this girl. Who I thought I had a crush on at one point that the lord I was wrong, but that's something else entirely
And we've become really good friends. Really good. I've actually told her more in the 6 months or so I've known her than I've told anyone else.
But I'm just a bit. Scared? I guess is the only way to put it. I can't think of a none stupid way to say this. But I'm scared to trust people. And, I've trusted her a lot. I don't want to say anything to her, because I don't want to cause a needless issue.
But what can I do, to make me less, I guess hesitant about it all

Hi Amelia,

It really takes time to trust people. Don't worry if you are hesitant right now and are not sure what you want to tell her and don't want to tell her. It sounds like she is a great friend, and I'm sure she can wait to hear anything you want to let off your chest.

Sometimes people just click too! If you are comfortable talking with her, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Saying more in six months to her than you've ever told anyone else just shows that you consider her a good friend. That is so important, and I'm glad you have someone you can talk to, even if you are a bit hesitant about it.

The more you talk and get to know this friend, the easier it will be to say things that are close to you. There is no quick fix to stop being hesitant, but I'm sure it's something that goes away over time.

Take care,

Nat.
