Toasting A friends Wedding What to say? - August 14th 2009, 03:35 PM

My friend is getting married. Hes from a different country. he is in my country as a student in the same university that I am in.

He wants me to toast him on a video clip around 30 seconds I never done this.

Im thinking about starting a quote like this.

To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage - Lao Tzu

And say how his wife will be supported by such a helpful friend. And how they will have a bright future.

The aburptly change the subject and make a joke at the end.

. Like saying when you have children call me!. Or say that he will have 20 kids or somthing lol.

Re: How to Congrat. a friend that is going to be married on Video? - August 14th 2009, 08:52 PM

If my best friend was getting married and asked me to toast her in a video (how odd ) - it would go something like this:

"Hello darling! To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage - Lao Tzu.

Congratulations to you and your fabulous new husband - you guys are lucky to have each other. I wish you the best of luck in all that you do and that things will be peaceful for you two for the rest of your lives. Once again, you deserve only the best. I love youuu!

PS: Have the kids give me a call as soon as they can talk. "

PPS: I'm moving this to Chit-Chat, since I find it more Chit-Chatty than Friends and Family like? If anyone disagrees, you let me know or move it back yourself. ^^
