Completely Alone - January 21st 2009, 03:37 AM

Is anyone here adopted? Im just wondering cause I am and recently Iv felt so out of place and alone. I mean It just feels like I dont belong, I really believe my mom resents me ever since my dad died, and I dont blame her, im not even her real son, im just some stupid kid shes stuck taking care of now. Whats worse is that she has a real daughter, my sister, and I feel like I shouldnt even be here. I love my family, especially my little sister, but how am I ever suppost to feel like I belong. When my mom looks at my sister she can see herself and my dad, when she looks at me all she sees is a stranger. I also dont know anything about my real parents, I know there dead but thats it, I have no idea who they were or where they came from but obviosly they didnt want me and neather does my new mom. Idk what to do, sometimes I think If I just dissapeard or died everybody would be better off. I cant even explain how awful it feels to be a stranger in my own house.

Hi there Anthony,

That sounds really tough for you, and I know adoption can be difficult. But remember, your new mom chose to adopt you so she obviously cares about you a great deal. You shouldn't feel out of place. It sounds like they care about you and you love them too. Family isn't all about blood relations, it is also how you feel about one another.

I'm sorry you're not feeling too good about it right now. If you ever want to talk about it, feel free to send me a PM.
All the best to you.

Well thats what ppl always say, if they adopted me they must love me, but since my dad died things have changed, like we really dont have much and so its pretty hard to support 2 kids, especially when ones not even related. Idk It feels like she doesnt love me, sometimes I think I should just leave, but then Id have nothing, i dont know what to do I cant talk to my mom, and my familys falling apart.
