my new friend at school... - September 22nd 2009, 10:55 PM

she's really bugging me. like she doesn't take the time to get to know me. so i'm new at school and she's been here forever. she doesn't take the time to get to know me. i'm pretty shy and she talks A LOT. she won't stop talking about this guy that i've never even met and only glanced at at lunch. she expects me to remember his name and everything- and i'm still just trying to remember how to get to my next class and the names of the people that i'm in class with! i'm really trying my hardest to learn about all of these people. i asked her today "hey, when you're talking to someone and i'm standing right there, don't worry about a formal introduction. please just say their name once or something that way i can put a face with a name." and she seemed pissed and confused that i'd ask something like that. she doesn't get how much i'm struggling at trying to get to know people when everyone here has known everyone since they were born- LITERALLY!!!!!!!!!!! and when she was telling her mom about me, she said i was "paranoid, shy, and intellectual". seriously????????

I want a moment to be real
Want to touch things I don't feel
Want to hold on, and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change?
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me, but I'm still here

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being shy or intellectual, but paranoid? ...Where did that come from?

Did you transfer to this school? Or are you just entering high school?
If you transferred, she should be more considerate; but if you're only a freshman or something, it might be understandable because everyone's on a 'quest' to impress people.

This girl sounds shallow. If I were you I'd find someone else; for example, a person who talks about more than just guys! It was also very brave of you to tell her about how she should introduce you to people.
