What are you made of??? - October 27th 2009, 03:06 AM

I was wondering If i could get many replies back about this as soon as possible. Im wondering just how many i could get.

What is your family made of?

Im part Indian, Irish, Scottish, Dutch, Raghead, European, And mabie Greek, (I cant be sure if im greek or not bcuz my grandma was adopted and it was a closed adoption as we dont know my mom side except a doctor told her she was european for sure)

So im asking, What are you part of???

And what traditions and cultures do you do???

whats on your dads side, and whats on your moms side???

any interesting history about your family???

Met you from a tie between u and me buddy,
Saw you from my wired eyes with a twisted little lie, and my mind told me negative when i had a wish to own you with my heart, buddy and you split like twigs, senses told her i fell for him, and she told me "i loved him, and go get him" And while i said "negative he said "correct" <3

Me and ? = 3 days which =correct

Hi Jocelynn,

I think this is a really cool question, and I'm also really interested to see what people answer.

As for my family, on my mom's side her mother is of British background and her father is of Norwegian background. On my dad's side, his mother is of Scottish background and his father is of Prussian background (which is now called Germany ). So I guess I'm mixed European background, but am Canadian.

We don't really do anything from any of the cultures really, other than celebrating Christmas and Easter.

I'm not sure the history is that interesting either. Basically my grandparents or great-grandparents immigrated to Canada because they thought there would be better possibilities for their families here. I suppose there were

A weird thing is that my grandfather (who came from Norway) had his last name named after a part of a river where he grew up. I guess that was when families had names based on where they lived or what occupations they had.

Everyone has a story. What's yours?

I am not totally sure.

My Dad's side is Irish/British.

My Mum's side is mix of a lot of things. I know there is some Spanish there because her maiden name is Rodrigeous which is a very common Spanish name but the spelling has been changed from Rodriguez over time as my family moved from spain to Britain. I am not sure what other heritages are in my Mum's side of the family because I am not sure where they travelled in between Spain and Britain.

We celebrate Christmas and Easter but not in a religious way. We also celebrate St Patrick's Day for the Irish side but pretty much everyone celebrates this just for an excuse to drink a lot.

I am part English, Dutch, Iraqi and Armenian. I know that somewhere along the line there is German and Irish too.

My mother's side is British, and that is where I have lived mostly, her grandmother was Irish I think, and a great grandparent was partly german I am led to belive.

My Father's side is more complicated. He is half dutch himself. My grandmother on his side is dutch, and my grandfather is Iraqi, who moved to Holland. My great grandmother on that side was Armenian I am told. There seems to be alot of secrecy on my father's side, and I know that there is more that I do not know. Only a few months ago did I learn that I have another two second cousins on this side.

I have never been to Iraq, I know I have relations there, but they do not know about me. Why? I am not to know...

As a family, we don't take part in many traditions. We 'do' Christmas, but not in a religious sense.

I am English, Scottish, Irish, German, and Croatian

On my dad's side, I'm mostly German, Scottish and English.
My mom's is all Irish and Croatian. It's awesome

I also consider myself Hawaiian. Not by blood, but I was born and raised as one. So I am. Period. Lol.

As for culture, we're all Hawaiian.
As for Family history, we're related to frontiersman Daniel Boone .

From my moms side:
Her mom said she grandparents were Yaqui Indians, she is always telling us stories of how she used to live with them. My grandfather is just from south Mexico from Puebla.
From my dads side:
His mother her parents were from Spain and he was born there and came to live to Mexico with her family. My grandfather is also from Spain and came to Mexico. They both meet and got married, such a romantic story but that's another topic

Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it.
