Can't Stop Yelling - January 29th 2009, 11:16 AM

I don't know why, but I keep yelling at my mom. It's so stupid...but her voice annoys me. I cannot stand when she talks. I roll my eyes all the time. And I have this horrible hate for her that I can't hide. I love my mom...I don't know what I'd do with out her. But I can't stop screaming at her whenever she speaks.

As in -- what she says annoys you, or just the way he says it?

But my best advice would be try and program your mind with certain fingers. Using your left hand, press your middle finger and thumb together, and think of a calm blue light coming over everything, and feeling very relaxed. If you keep doing that for long enough, you can probably program yourself to be calm just by pressing those fingers together, and that might help. Other than that, breathe, count to ten if you feel yourself getting cross, sometimes just touching yourself, like tapping your leg once with your hand, can help snap you out of the anger.
I'll check back on here soon

Alright. I'll definitely try those. Thanks.

And I mean, just her voice...no matter how she says things or what she says I find myself glaring at her and thinking, "Just. Shut. Up. You idiot."

=/ I love my mom...so I'm completely confused as to why I keep thinking these horrible things and why I keep yelling at her.

Possibly you've just reached that age to where you and your mother don't relate like you used to. You're not a child anymore. I felt the same way about my mother, but it was because of the things she did. You feel rebellion. You feel like you are under her rule and you shouldn't be?

Are you under other stresses? because other stresses added to an underlying aggravation can cause explosion. And Holly sounds about right, we are at a certain age where we reach out for independence, especiialy at 18, it could well be related with that. Tell me how it all goes I'll keep checking back!!

I think it's just a lot of pent up anger. And then the whole being 18 and she's trying to rule my life. Like...I can't stay home by myself since my suicide attempt. I have to ask her for a shaver. I can't close any doors in the house.

...<.< Yeaaa

I bet that's annoying. I can understand the aggravation.
Kinda glad my parents don't know about me
I think you'rte desire to be independent and strong leaves you feeling very vulnerable to someone who knows you so well?
(And just to COMPLETELY crossover, I'm glad you're still here after a coupla night sago, I only just saw your thread, or I wouldv'e commented)
