Thumbs down selfish jealousy - January 22nd 2010, 03:10 AM

Thats what ifeel like a complete selfish and jealous bitch, why well i had a boyfriend for six months randomly out of the blue he broke up with me cause he hadnt 'dated enough other people yet' or something like that.well its been about 4 months since then we still talk occasionally at school like a polite hello how are you? thats about it, truly i dont feel the same anymore, i look at him i and i feel nothing but..my best closest friend shes started talking to him a lot lately, like they were friends when we where together so theyve always kinda talked but now every day at lunch shes always like o he was telling me in class today this, or o we bumped heads hehe, thats only time i start feeling anything,i felt like she was rubbing it in my face without realizing it.Today she was talking to me and he walks up her and they do this weird hand shake thingy right in front of me and my chest literally started hurting.I love my friend death but whenever she talks about him or is talking to him i always feel anger towards her i cant control and i feel horrible about it.i know my friend she doesnt just have guy friends, she either dates them or she doesnt talk to them otherwise. This really scares me cause im not sure what id do if that happened i wouldnt be able to look at her.i feel incredibly horrible selfish and like a jealous bitch, its not like hes mine any more.Is it wrong that feel this way? i dont want to lose my bestfriend, i havent any idea what to do AH!

Talk to her, Lil. It really is best to be straightforward in situations like this. Otherwise, you'll end up resenting her for being so close to your boyfriend, or she'll end up resenting you for disapproving of her friendship/relationship with him.

I have tried but she just dismisses what i say, she doesnt really get it, its like trying to talk to a brick wall at times.

So does it seem like she's dismissing what you have to say because she doesn't understand why it's a problem, or because she doesn't care?

I always thought it was wrong of friends to date your friend's ex, but that may just be my opinion.
You are not a jealous bitch. I think what you need to do, is tell your friend how this is making you feel, tell her this is upsetting you and just politely ask her to stop. Talk to her about this.
