To shy to make friends - May 14th 2010, 11:17 PM

Yar, don't really know how to put this exactly wellz... when I was in school I used to hang out with my "friends" during school but never after or on the weekend or anything. I'd always let myself just sink into it, if people liked me then I'd just end up hanging out with them and become less shy around them. I never tried to make new friends or anything, the only real friends I have I made long ago when I was a kid and to be honest now I only have 2 real friends. I droped out of highschool early on as well and when I started working I was the same way, was real friendly at work and all with my coworkers but never did anything other then talk and have fun at work when ever we could. I do however have friends online, from playing online games and from here that I like hanging out with a lot but problem is I'm lonely and don't have many "Real" friends (like I said only the 2 that we were friends since I was a kid). I feel really lonely when I think about all the things that I could have done with real friends and it's just this big empty spot in my life. Sorry this is turning into 100 pages just got a lot on my about this. Anyway, just kinda wondering some ways I might overcome my shyness and meet some new people cause I'm really lonely

you friends can help you with this. you can ask them to take you places and then meet people. idk like are you the type of shy person where you need a comfort zone of friends or else you wont talk? or what? you can also just put yourself out there. you never know unless you try.

" One day at a time, this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. "

i wonder when i'll finally jsut start accepting myself, when i'll stop saying i wish i could be like that person.

i have facebook, and myspace. and you can ask for it. :P
