Have you discussed this with your family? Maybe you could just do something small like go out to eat with only them so that it's not that big of a deal and they can at least celebrate with you. It sounds like they really care about you and want to make it special. I know it must be difficult to lose a pet you've had around for so long. I lost my cat a few years ago and I still haven't fully gotten over it. But just remember this day should be about you and try to take your family's wishes into consideration as well so that way you both get what you want.

You're everything I know that makes me believe
I'm not alone
You're in everyone I see
So tell me
Do you see me?

Hi there,

I know you don't want to make it a big thing, but try to understand why your family wants to celebrate it with you. You mean a lot to them and they want to make the day special for you.

But they are still your family. Talk to them about this and ask them to do something small instead.

I know you don't want to hear it, but I really hope you have a good birthday. I am very sorry about your rabbit.
