-_- Putting your friend before your daughter. - April 10th 2011, 01:33 AM

My mother promised me that she would take me to lunch a few days ago after class and that we could have a mother-daughter day, which we have not had in 5 years. Get this, her f-ing friend calls her in the morning and says she took the day off so that way she and my mom could go shopping, and guess who my mom chose to go shopping with?! HER!

I was so ticked off and upset at her. She promised me a day just us and she went back on her promise!!

What really gets me is that the night before this happened she was talking to the same friend and saying in the phone "I put my family before my job or anything or anyone else."

WHAT A BITCH!!!!

I couldn't sit in any of my classes that day, so I just sat in my car in the parking lot because I couldn't contain my sobs and didn't want to make a scene.

I'm sorry that she chose her friend over you, that's really hard I know it's happened lots to me.
Have you talked to her about it though? Tell her that you were really looking forward to your guys' day together and your upset that she ditched you? Especially since she probably should've known what it meant to you anyways

Oh believe me, I definitely let my feelings show to her. In fact, we got into a screaming match over it, and in the end I got a punch that sent me to the floor, so needless to say it was a particularly nice conversation.

Now that behavior by her is absolutely appalling. And then she has the audacity to punch you?! Seems at this point in time, she doesn't deserve to be in your life.

Wow, I am absolutely sorry to hear that your mother did this to you.
I think you need to talk to her and tell her how you felt about that when she cools down.
Violence is never okay, and if you were comfortable, I would report her to the cops.
Her behavior should not be tolerated.
Let her know how much it hurt you, and tell her that next time don't get your hopes up.
Again, I am really sorry she did this to you

Thanks Glitter, and FlyingTrue, I really have no where else to go, I'm kind of in a bind right now having to pay for my tuition at uni. I am getting a job at Walgreens and I am getting a lot of financial aid with my parents pay checks already, so when I earn enough money you better bet I'm outta here.
