My dads going to throw me out - March 15th 2009, 05:53 AM

He just told me to go and pack my stuff and leave the house. I'm in my room but I don't know what to do. I don't have anywhere to go.

Hey-

Quickly look up places you can go. Is there a homeless shelter? A bus station to get to a relative or friend? Pack up the things you need to make it through the night and next few days. Try to pack light, but practically.
Make sure to take a phone book or something so you can try to get in contact with someone.

If you have a car, perhaps you could just leave it parked out front and sleep in it? Or sleep in a parents car? It's probably one of the safest of places if you have no other options.

Good luck finding a place to go. I hope it works out. =/ Stay safe!
Maria.

How did things go?
My dad's threatened me with that a number of times, but he didn't really 'mean' it, it was said in the heat of his emotions.

Are you still in school? Tell somebody there and they might be able to help you find somewhere.

He's proberly not serious, but if he is or does it again and is serious try to make a plan. Make sure you know what you will need, clothes food and things like that. Is there a friend you can stay with? You could call childline on 0800 1111 (I think) they can tell you what to do. If you really have no-where to go call 999 or go to your local police station it may e scary but they will help you. Hope thing turn out alright. Be strong.

Hi Maiden,

Were you able to find some place to stay? I really hope you are feeling okay and are able to get us updated on this soon.

If you are no longer at your dad's house, then I strongly suggest you stay with a friend or relative until you can find your own place. Look into finding a job to support yourself and if you have to, find a shelter to stay at.

I really hope you are doing okay.
Stay strong.
Nat.

Hey Maiden.

just remember that the person you stay with is reliable and will care and help you weather whatever bad things you experience thick or thin.

and remember that you must be comfortable at your new place.

and ALWAYS remember you've always got us here to support you

Re: My dads going to throw me out - March 17th 2009, 09:27 AM

Well I went and hid in my bedroom for a couple of hours, hoping they wouldn't notice that I hadn't left yet, and then I went out early in the morning and didn't see my family again for over 48 hours, and at that stage, my Mum told my dad he's not kicking me out.

I still don't really want to stay here though, but I have no money to move out. I'm in university and I can barely afford bus fares at the moment, never mind rent.
