Question Being second best.. - September 13th 2011, 05:39 PM

I have these best friends, we're 6 girls and we have so fun when we are together MOST of the time...
Somedays I feel like Im just the one who everyone forgets about, like there is always someone who is better than me, like Im never good enough... I often feel very lonley..
I really love them deeply and I'm very nice and I do ANYTHING they ask me to do, but they never even say thanks, should I give up on them even thoug I love them so much and I'm nothing withouthem? I'm not very popular so I don't think I would get new friends before I'll graduate and go to a new school.

Waiting for an advise...

I think your first issue contributing to feeling like this is that you're willing to do anything for them, and they don't even acknowledge it. While it's nice to do things for friends once in a while, it's also a two way street. Meaning, they should at least say thanks you. But if you've let this go on for so long without saying anything to them about it, then they're going to think their actions are okay. If you're all best friends, you should feel comfortable speaking up when you're feeling bad about the friendship. I would talk to your friends. Tell them that you're feeling a little left out lately. Maybe they're not even trying to leave you out. It's quite possible that because you've not said anything about it, that they don't even notice. And really, it's not their fault. If you don't say anything, how are they supposed to know how you're feeling? If you want to see a change, you have to make the effort to make the change. Take care, and good luck<3
