Call if you need anything... - November 8th 2011, 03:55 AM

Call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything, call if you need anything

Thats all she says and I need something from my mother, but no she will not provide it for me and no one understands what it is.

Hey Joy,
Have you tried talking to her about what you feel you're missing in your relationship? If you do, talk calmly and rationally. Try to avoid any accusatory words. Instead, focus on phrases about how you feel. For example, "I feel _______ when you _______" is a much better option than "You always/never _______." The more mature you are during the discussion, the more likely your mom is to listen to what you have to say. On the same token, make sure you give her equal respect when she's speaking. Hopefully, you guys will be able to bridge the gap that is between you.
Take care,
Sammi.

Maybe you could try writing for your mother what you're feeling. Writing out how I feel worked tons better than me trying to voice it. Maybe speak in bullet points. For example "I need __, ___ & ___". And then you can say how you want it. For example: "I want you to show me love by hugging me more, or talking to me more." Simple things like that. Just take the time to really think what you want to say. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you. <3

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh
